As a teacher it is important to me that students gain an understanding of the process of creating as well as the techniques needed to bring their thoughts to their art.

Classes are devoted to learning how to manage tools and mediums as well as guidance on artist principles.

My goal is to allow each student the grace to explore their creativity while setting up a solid foundation.

Adult Ceramic Hand-building Classes

This class will dive into preparing clay, equipment and tools used to make hand built pieces and finally glazing techniques. There will be a planned project for each class using simple hand building methods: pinching, coils and slabs. As it is encouraged that students explore the project, they will be given the green light to think outside of the plan and make a piece unique to their creativity. This is a great way for all levels of creators to get their hands dirty and make pieces that will last for years! The final class in each session will focus on adding the glazes.

Sessions are 4 weeks long on Monday evening from 5-7pm.

Cost is $200 per person

There are 8 students maximum.

A 10% discount is offered to anyone who brings a friend!

Homeschool Art Classes for Teens

As a homeschooling Mom, I know how hard it is to find classes for a kiddo who loves to learn! I am here to help guide your budding teen artists on their journey.

Classes will explore all of the art mediums while taking a monthly deep dive into one of the principles of art. The classes will be focused on teaching students about the mediums and tools they are using while creating pieces that reflect their own personalities. Weekly work at home will be encouraged to further utilize what was taught at each lesson, with the intent that they bring back what they made and share with the class. This will be an outlet for helping our homeschoolers gain confidence speaking in a small group setting. This will be a class that will allow students to truly dabble in ideas and art forms to find their own way of expressing ideas based on a planned project.

Sessions are 4 weeks long on Monday afternoons from 1-2:30pm.

Cost is $80 per student

Ages 12 - 16

There are 8 students maximum.
